Derp Company hosts regularly scheduled Operations throughout the week, they are completely optional and are not mandatory to maintain membership status. We offer two different operation types to suit an array of gameplay styles in Planetside 2. The purpose of these operations is to cater to the gameplay preferences of each individual player. Check out our Events Calendar to learn when you can participate in our Operations! Visitors are welcome to test us out!
Casual Operations are relaxed in structure and provide for a casual, lighthearted gameplay experience. This operation type was made for social gaming, solo gaming, late night shenanigans, and pick-up groups. CasOps is often open as a recruitment operation to public players. A leader is expected to know how to create a squad in-game and to leave the squad in capable hands. This type of Operation is usually not considered an event.
An Organized Operation is a gameplay style that caters to objective or Milsim (military simulation) gamers. A strong emphasis is put on teamwork and cohesion, and even a stronger one on Combined Arms gameplay. OrgOps fully utilizes learned practices for Infantry, Mechanized, and Aviation units within Planetside 2. This is for those who want to take gaming to the next level while having a good time. This type of Operation is generally always an event.
Founded in November of 2012, Derp Company [D3RP] is more than just a group of people who come together to play Planetside 2. It is a community who wants to engage in team-based gameplay to elevate the experience of combat oriented games. Our community focuses on tactics, group cohesion and serious fun. Derp Company prefers quality over quantity and we each do our part to ensure that the group as a whole, and the experiences we have in it, are the best they can possibly be. Many of us pour a great amount of time and energy into maintaining the group, providing feedback, running operations, and organizing events. We find that the effort pays off with some of the most memorable gaming experiences we’ve ever had.
